Lanka in the year 1997 by Asiri Wanigaratne and the first
ever centre for Feng Shui was instituted by him in Sri Lanka. So far over
twelve publications have been authored by him and these books are among
the largest number of publications which have the greatest rate of sales
among other publications.
Feng Shui primarily became popular in Sri Lanka among wealthy people in
the city of Colombo and they made use of this science to acquire further
wealth. However, when Asiri Wanigaratne’s books began to hit the market,
and subsequent to television programmes that very often were broadcast,
Feng Shui became so very popular among the general public.

It is Feng Shui Which has been considered the most widespreaded and popular
of all occult sciences. The impact of Feng Shui on the masses is so tremendous
that from among the buildings seen in Hong Kong, 90% have been constructed
on principles based on Feng Shui. Mark and Spencer, Credit Lyonnais, Virgin
Atlantic and Bank of England are some of them. The Feng Shui Shastra Which
was born in China has by now spread into the united States, Japan, India,
Malaysia,Singapore, Great Britain, Germany and other countries in europe
on a grand scale.
